Make some Change

Celebrate Coins For Change!

Hello Penguins!

All year we hear from you how important Coins For Change is – so many of you say that it means a lot to be able to participate in something that can help kids around the world!! It’s finally here and we hope you’re finding all kinds of ways around the island to celebrate the 3rd annual Coins For Change.

This year Rockhopper’s brought some rare items to help celebrate and share in your igloos. And every time you donate, you’ll be helping to decide how a 1 million dollar donation will be split. This year, the categories are: helping kids who are poor, helping kids who are sick, and helping the environment. We’ll announce the results on December 24!

coinsforchange.jpgWe can’t wait to see all the ways you’re getting involved. Whether you donate your coins, check out the offline activities, throw a giant igloo party, or take part in the benefit concert at the Lighthouse, your actions are making a difference. Let us know what you’re up to!

Until then…Waddle on!

Coins for change

December 13, 2009

Hello Penguins!

Last week we asked how you were planning to celebrate change during Coins For Change! Orang0 said:

I am going to get the Coins for Change Igloo Item and pop it in my igloo. Then, I will host a contest with my friends, and we will see who can donate the most coins! Fun to earn, and fun to give! I will run around Club Penguin, ringing my bell, wearing my scarf and treasured green turtleneck! To top it off, I will find Rockhopper, I will do a jolly dance with him!

You’ll be able to get the Coins For Change igloo items aboard the Migrator tomorrow – and with a new furniture catalog also coming out tomorrow, an igloo party could be an awesome way to start the Coins For Change celebrations. This week, we want to know how you’ll be decorating your igloo for the season. Give us your decorating tips!

Write your Reviewed By You answer as a comment! We’ll post one (50 – 75 words please) in next week’s Reviewed By You. And if your comment is chosen as the feature comment on next week’s blog, we’ll add 10,000 coins to your penguin account. Don’t forget to use your penguin name so we can add coins!

Until then…Waddle on!

Hello Penguins!

Last week we wanted to know about what you liked about Rockhopper’s visits. Jjribcool said:

I think the best things when rockhopper returns is when you get to meet the famous pirate and get his speacial items! You can also go on his ship and player his game Treasure Hunt!! So there the best things when rockhopper returns!

Rockhopper will be in the telescope really soon and he’ll be bringing some Coins For Change items for your igloo! It’s all about playing games and giving coins – every year the team gets really excited about your generosity. We’d love to know all the ways that you’re going to celebrate change during Coins For Change!

Screenhog talks Card-Jitsu Fire!

November 19, 2009

Hi everyone! It’s Screenhog again.

If you haven’t been there yet, you might want to check out the construction for the Card-Jitsu Fire game. It’s our newest multiplayer game and it’ll launch November 24th!

You might not know, but multiplayer games are pretty complicated to make. Only one other game in Club Penguin supports 4 players – Sled Racing. Up to 4 ninjas will be able to play together in Card-Jitsu Fire and the team’s been working really, really hard to get it ready. Since the new game starts next week, I wanted to try and cover a few things you’ve asked about:

· Card-Jitsu Fire isn’t just about new cards. It’s a whole new way of using all your cards in a Fire Ninja setting.

· You’ll be using the cards you have already collected. But it’s not just Fire cards – you’ll be able to master the element of fire but you’ll have to use all the elements to do so.

If you’ve got questions, please ask in the comments and I’ll try to answer as many as I can. And remember, you’ve got to be a ninja and get the Amulet to play!
